Can I swim anywhere around the resort?Cocoon Maldives is blessed with a beautiful lagoon. While swimming in the lagoon is generally safe, we recommend avoiding it in adverse weather conditions like strong winds and rough seas. In an unlikely case, our main pool is the best place to swim.

Photography and Drone footage?Due to privacy concerns, Cocoon prohibits the operation of unmanned aerial systems or drones. We kindly ask guests to refrain from flying drones anywhere on the island. For drone shootings please contact Guest Relations. Photography is allowed for personal use.

What is the weather like in Maldives?Being located on the equator, the Maldives has a hot tropical climate, with plenty of sunshine and a high level of humidity. Temperatures range from 24°C to 30°C. The country encounters two monsoons: the northeast monsoon starts from November to April, bringing dry and sunny conditions, whereas the southwest monsoon starts from May to October, marking the rainy season. Despite the monsoon, it's noteworthy that the Maldives can still enjoy a substantial number of sunny days even during the traditionally rainy period.

What is the best time to visit Maldives?The Maldives Islands are lovely all year round but peak season tends to be during November to April when there are clear skies and it is dry. The visibility for diving is also high during this period. However, for surfers it is the opposite, since the south west monsoon brings in the best waves, with the largest waves occurring in July and August.

Where is Maldives?The Maldives is a group of 1200 coral islands that are located in the Indian Ocean to the South and South-West of India and Sri Lanka, respectively. It is about 4 hours flying time from Singapore on the east and 5 hours flying time from the gulf on the west.

Do I need a Visa to enter Maldives?No, you do not need a Visa prior to entering the Maldives. All travelers are given a 30-day Visa upon arrival. To receive this, each traveler must present a passport (valid for at least 6 months), and a valid return air ticket to a destination where the passenger has permission to enter together with any visa required for that destination.

What are the payment methods while on the island?Credit card/Debit Card payment as well as Cash payments are accepted on the island. As for credit cards we accept American Express, Diners Club, MasterCard, Farmlands/CRT, JCB, Union Pay, and Visa.Kindly be aware that a 3% surcharge applies when making payments via credit card. However, please note that third-party or company cheques, as well as company credit cards, are not accepted as forms of payment without prior clearance. What is the payment and cancellation policy of the resort?Pre-payment is required in order to guarantee reservations. How far ahead the payment is required and can cancel the reservation without penalty depends on your stay dates and the rates which you have booked.

How do I pay for my reservation?Once your reservation is complete, the reservations team will send you a secure online payment link through which you can settle the payment via your credit card. Alternatively, we do accept bank transfers as well.

Is there a waiting time for the transfers to the resort?Seaplane transfers are scheduled in accordance with international flight arrival and departure times to Velana International Airport. Please expect a waiting time of maximum of 60 to 120 minutes, as this is shared with other guests who travel to the resort or to nearby destinations. Alternatively, private seaplane transfers are available upon request for an additional fee.

Is there a luggage limit for the Seaplane Transfers?Seaplane transfer provider imposes a luggage restriction of 20 kg’s of checked luggage and 5 kg’s of hand luggage, additional weight will be charged US$5.00 per kg.

What is the standard mode of Airport transfer to Cocoon Maldives?Cocoon Maldives organizes Seaplane Transfers for Arrival & Departure from and to Velana International Airport for all guests as a standard. Seaplane Transfers is organized through a third party called Transmaldivian Airways.

Do you provide a laundry service?Yes, we do. In general, laundry service is available throughout your stay. Please place your laundry into the bag provided in your room together with the completed form and your room attendant will collect it. What are the meal options for Children?Children below 12 years can dine for free from the Kids buffett or kids menu in all restaurants operated by Cocoon Maldives, except for In-Villa Dining. Children who wish to order from the standard a la carte menu will receive a 50% discount on the food order.

Is there any dress-code for the Restaurants?We follow a resort-casual dress or island chic code for all of our restaurants. Swimwear is discouraged at our restaurants.

Do we need to book the restaurants in advance?Advance reservation is required for a la carte restaurant and it is highly recommended to avoid last minute disappointment.

What age is allowed in the kid’s club?The Club accepts ages starting from age of 3 and 11 Years. Kids below the age of 03 Years will be allowed to Kids club with assistance of a parent or a babysitter. Babysitting Service is available at the resort and can be booked in advance.
